decmeetup_slushies.jpgWe will be kicking off 2011 with an in in-depth look at Joomla! 1.6 and a return visit to our new host, Quicken Loans at theCompuware building down town.

I think it is safe to say that we were all pretty impressed with this space as a technology learning environment and are looking forward to going back and building a relationship with Quicken Loans as a supporter of Detroit area web developers and entrepreneurship.

I will be building out a migration path for the current www.joomladetroit.com website to migrate to the Joomla! 1.6 platform, so I will use this opportunity to present the plan and recruit developer support from the user group.

Give a Mini-Presentation

I would also like to build into our regular meeting some survey time from the expertise in our group. I am thinking it would be great if each month we could have one person present a 5 minute tidbit from different realms of web design. 

 

Along with your presentation, you would be responsible for writing up a short blog post on the topic for our site. Let me know if you are interested and what your topic is!
